Overview

This document provides interim guidance for laboratories, clinicians, health workers, public health officials and other stakeholders responding to outbreaks of Andes virus in non-endemic areas (i.e. areas where ANDV is not enzootic in rodent reservoir) and involved in the diagnosis and care of patients with suspected or probable Andes virus, from specimen collection through to diagnostic analysis and reporting.
